JOHN AUGENSTEIN JOINS TEAM OAKLEY®’S GOLF PROGRAM
Oakley partners with the young professional golfer to support his passion and vision as he chases his PGA Tour Card
Today, Oakley announced a new partnership with John Augenstein, a young professional golfer who has the potential to shape the future of the sport. The news comes ahead of John making his professional debut this week at the American Express.
“Growing up, I watched some of my idols and the best players in golf wear Oakley,” said John. “And to now be a part of Team Oakley, it is a dream. I hope I can use this opportunity to inspire a new generation of athletes to change the game."
As part of the partnership, John will wear Oakley’s golf apparel, featuring leading performance technologies and innovations, and performance and lifestyle eyewear built with Prizm™ Lens Technology, designed to enhance color and contrast to see more detail. John has been a highly regarded amateur and will be playing on a sponsor exemption at The American Express tournament this week, taking place at PGA WEST in La Quinta, California. The young professional graduated from Vanderbilt in the Spring of 2020 as SEC Player of the Year and a four-time GCAA All-American. After participating in the 2020 U.S. Open and finishing T-55 at the Masters this November, John announced his decision to turn professional.
