OAKLEY MAKES HISTORY POWERING IN ITS FIRST-EVER OFFICIAL APPAREL SPONSORSHIP
Official Federation Sponsorships for Canada Snowboard and Finland Snowboard, Plus Oakley Competition Outerwear Partnership Driving New Zealand Freestyle Ski Performance.

Oakley’s heritage in sport and relentless drive for innovation runs deep in its DNA, and continues to carve its path across snow. For the first time in its history, Oakley is an official apparel sponsor of the national freestyle snowboard federations of Canada and Finland, while also supporting Freestyle Ski athletes from New Zealand with purpose-built competition gear. Drawing on decades of experience in extreme environments, Oakley’s snow apparel fuses forward-thinking design with technical precision, built to endure the elements while amplifying athletic performance. Engineered for Halfpipe, Slopestyle, and Big Air, each piece enhances movement, maximizes freedom, and embodies the energy of modern snow culture.
“Stoked on the collab between Oakley and Canada Snowboard for our Olympic Outerwear” said Team Oakley athlete Cameron Spalding. “Oakley has been home to me for many years now and I know the gear will perform to the highest standard. The design and colorways are making for a clean kit, and the fit is exactly what we are looking for as Snowboarders, they nailed it”
Oakley’s outerwear for Canada Snowboard channels speed, precision, and national identity through bold construction, dynamic graphics, and a nod to heritage. The Canadian maple leaf is reinterpreted, capturing velocity and national pride, while speed lines across the sleeves amplify forward momentum. Classic reds are reimagined through bold color-blocking within modern Oakley silhouettes. Key pieces include the BALDFACE Shell Jacket with waterproof FNDry™ fabric, fully-taped seams, and RECCO® safety technology; the WINTERTIDE Softshell Hoodie; the CHANNEL Cargo Pant; and the BALDFACE Shell Pant, engineered with waterproofing and venting, worn exclusively by Canada Snowboard.
“Snow has always been my element, and Oakley has been with me every step of the way,” said Team Oakley athlete Rene Rinnekangas. “Every piece is engineered for performance, letting push my limits on the mountain, and being part of Oakley’s first-ever national team sponsorship makes this moment even more special.”
Oakley also supports Finland Snowboard athletes and staff through the Aura collection, a high-performance outerwear and accessories system for the Snowboard Freestyle, Halfpipe, Slopestyle and Big Air events. The lineup includes the BALDFACE Shell Jacket, WINTERTIDE Softshell Hoodie, and CHANNEL Cargo Pant, featuring Oakley’s signature Ellipse motif reinterpreted with accelerating lines that evoke speed, energy, and forward motion. Each piece incorporates custom Finnish detailing, merging national identity with performance-driven construction, including waterproofing, breathability, and functional features built for freestyle snow environments. The collection also extends to gloves, beanies, socks, and neck gaiters, designed to complement the apparel with a cohesive, kinetic colorway that mirrors athletes in motion. The Aura kit will also be worn by some of the brand’s freestyle athletes in performance.
For New Zealand, Oakley delivers high-performance outerwear engineered exclusively for Freestyle Ski, designed to keep athletes moving with precision and confidence. Bold black-and-white graphics push the nation’s identity into motion, while the signature Ellipse motif energizes every line and curve. Streamlined pants feature a dynamic silver fern for unrestricted movement, and a reimagined cargo pocket blends utility with forward-thinking performance design.
“It’s pretty special for myself and New Zealand Freestyle Ski to be partnering with Oakley on competition gear for the Winter Olympics” said Team Oakley athlete Luca Harrington. “When it comes to quality, Oakley is the best. When it comes to style and trends, Oakley has our backs. Freestyle skiing is all about style and quality, so it is a pleasure to be working with a company that aligns its values with ours.”
Built for Canada, Finland, New Zealand, and Oakley Freestyle athletes, Oakley’s purpose-driven snow gear and accessories empower athletes to push boundaries, move with agility, and redefine what’s possible on the world stage.
