OAKLEY ICON ALLIANCE RETURNS: EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF WOMEN IN SPORTS

Nationwide Tournament Showcases Elite Competition In Youth Flag Football

Following a breakthrough inaugural tournament, Oakley Icon Alliance (OIA), the premier youth women’s flag football platform powered by RCX Sports, expands in 2025 to feature 16 elite teams across East and West Regionals. Together, Oakley Icon Alliance and RCX Sports provide rising athletes with real pathways to visibility and advancements. Both brands are committed to advancing the sport beyond tournaments by turning opportunities into tangible progress through flag football.

With games hosted at world-class NFL venues, including the practice facilities for the NY Jets, LV Raiders, and LA Chargers, OIA aims to create a first-of-its-kind opportunity for youth women athletes to compete on NFL fields. The tournament will culminate with the OIA Championship at The Bolt in Los Angeles on February 13th.

Women’s flag football is rapidly growing, and will make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games in both men’s and women’s divisions.OIA serves as a home for young athletes who are carrying the torch for flag football and representing the current talent in the game while also inspiring the next generation.

“The Oakley Icon Alliance is about giving rising women more than a field to compete on – it’s about giving them a stage to be seen, heard, and believed in,” said Corey Hill, Vice President and Head of Oakley Global Sports Marketing. “Women’s flag football is one of the fastest-growing sports in America, and by expanding the league and elevating the experience inside NFL facilities, we’re meeting that momentum head-on, helping build confidence, community, and future careers in sport and beyond.”

Making an appearance at this year’s tournament will be Team Oakley athlete and World Champion quarterback of Mexico’s national flag football team, Diana Flores. Flores, who recently appeared in the Stunt Collection campaign featuring our new HyperGrip™ technology, represents the athletes inspiring the next generation and advancing Oakley’s mission to elevate women in sport–from grassroots to international stages.

“It’s inspiring to witness the growth of Oakley Icon Alliance, and to see how this initiative keeps opening doors and celebrating women in sport,” said Flores. “Oakley’s commitment to empowering athletes through innovation, investment, and advocacy is helping shape the next generation of flag football.”

The 2025 OIA tournament kicks off in late November with the East Regional at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center (November 22–23), followed by the West Regional at the Intermountain Health Performance Center (December 14). Each team will compete in seven games, with the top four advancing to the OIA Championship. The Championship will be held at The Bolt from February 12–15, 2026, where the top 4 teams will face off in a semifinal single-elimination format.

The initiative will serve as a home for young athletes who are carrying the torch for flag football and representing the current talent in the game while also inspiring the next generation. To learn more about Oakley Icon Alliance, please visit oakley.com.
