INTRODUCING MOD7, OAKLEY®’S FIRST INTEGRATED HELMET, FEATURING GROUNDBREAKING DESIGN INNOVATION

Tuesday, October 18, 2022 — Oakley® releases its newest snow helmet innovation, MOD7. Featuring a first-of-its-kind integrated visor technology, MOD7 is the result of Oakley’s meticulous concepting, designing, creating, and testing of high-performance snow helmets over the last six years. Inbound or off-piste, MOD7 creates a seamless wearing experience between helmet and goggle that offers an all-in-one package for any all-mountain adventure.  

MOD7 is highlighted by a groundbreaking innovation from Oakley: Secure-Connect. Secure-Connect magnetically connects and mechanically secures the visor in riding and stowed positions, allowing wearers to easily detach the visor from the riding position and store it on top of the helmet like they would a traditional goggle. With MOD7’s Secure-Connect technology, all-mountain snowboarders and skiers can enjoy the benefits of Oakley’s best-in-class snow goggles in a simpler and more functional visor design that is coupled with the brand’s Prizm™ Lens Technology to improve contrast and enhance clarity for detecting snow contours, textures and obstacles. 

A Lens Seal Adjustment button located on the side of the helmet is included for a custom, more adaptive fit, making MOD7 the gold standard for performance helmets available this season. This, along with the helmet’s cohesive integrated visor-helmet design, signals the future of optics integration and sets a standard for how visor helmets can, and should, perform. 

• SECURE-CONNECT: Oakley’s proprietary helmet technology, Secure-Connect, seamlessly integrates goggle and helmet as one for a completely new experience. Secure-Connect magnetically connects and mechanically secures the goggle to the helmet, both in the ride and stowed positions. 
• INTEGRATED PRIZM™ GOGGLE: The integrated goggle features a dual lens powered by Prizm Lens Technology to improve contrast and enhance clarity for detecting snow contours, textures and obstacles, and an inner anti-fog lens. 
• LENS-SEAL ADJUSTMENT: Built into the side of the helmet is an adjustment button that allows the goggle to be pushed back into the wearer’s face to help create a custom, comfortable seal. 
• LENS EJECT BUTTON: Located on both sides of the integrated goggle, the lens eject button releases the goggle from the helmet both in the ride and stowed positions. 
• LENS LANDING ZONE: Located at the front/top of the helmet, the Lens Landing Zone allows the wearer to intuitively stow the goggle in place just as they would a traditional goggle using Secure-Connect technology. 
• DURAMATTER MIX SHELL: A hybrid-shell construction method using a mix of durable hard-shell DURAMATTER and traditional lightweight polycarbonate that creates a well-balanced design and is strategically applied to selected areas of the helmet. 
• SKULL MATRIX: A unique integration that combines fit and protection allowing the helmet’s internal retention system to wrap in all directions around the wearer’s head, helping to enable a secure comfortable fit. 
• MIPS® SAFETY SYSTEM: Reduces rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head. 
• POLARTEC® POWER GRID™: Moisture wicking, removable and washable three-dimensionally shaped vented lining to match the contours of a rider’s head. 
• BOA® 360 FIT SYSTEM: A fully adjustable design is engineered to help deliver an exact fit. 
• FIDLOCK® BUCKLE: Seamless magnetic functionality lets you fasten your helmet with gloves on.
